Homebush yarding on 14 December totalled 26 100 sheep and 21 105 lambs from 4 200. Prime sheep active with values steady to last day. trade sheep dearer than Monday but plain types lower. Lambs: prime in good demand near last day rates. plain and lower quality lambs declined. Cattle yarded 3 712 with 326 store stock. market opened weaker with good bullocks steady near prior levels while other grades fell 10 to 15. Included prices for crossbred suckers and other categories.
Appraisement Dates Open for New Year Listings
The schedule lists six appraisement dates in January and February with bale counts. Dates include Wednesday January 10 and Thursday January 11 with 7 154 and 7 156 bales, Friday 26 with 7 060, Tuesday February 6 with 7 000, Wednesday 14 with 7 060, and Thursday February 22 with 7 059 bales. Two more catalogues are planned before Easter, plus April and May fixtures. Rubber stamps available via Burrows News Office with a book of designs.
