Shire Briefs Address Drainage and Road Issues
At the last meeting the council referred a drainage complaint from G J Penyu of Phil's Creek to the Shire Engineer. Creeks at Kenya and Gumary Taylor's Flat Road receive noted attention with costed improvements under the 140 CLAW Programme. Kerbing and guttering on Market Street, Koorowa was referred for consideration. Public gate and motor traffic ramp on Gunnary Taylor's Flat Rd may be approved if no objections. Sale or enclosure of Weekes Lane was discussed with conditional approval potential. Repairs and gravel patches for Meathfield Road were assigned to the Shire Engineer. Patterson's Curse at Howell's Creek outside boundaries raises liability questions. Closing of roads near Maryvale War Service Settlement area was considered with no objection.
