The Wolseley pigeon race held last Saturday saw a South East wind aid the entrants. The winner, P. J. Byrnes, posted 1421 yards per minute for first place. Second was F Brandy at 1412 yp min and Swinson took third at 1318 ypm. The event was from Mount Gambier 320 miles away and marks the final race of the season with another trophy planned for next Saturday.

Cold weather marred the opening of the Burra Bowling and Croquet Club on Saturday. A fair gathering from Blyth and Auburn attended.
