Burra Sports Day: Two Mile Race and Veteran Half Mile Finish
R Victor led the Clare two mile race with B Victor close behind and Tiller third as Glare riders hindered by injuries. C Todd won the scratch two mile, while Jim Rush Wane and Bob Angel claimed other handicapped placings. John Wohling was unhurt after a crash caused by a rolling girls basketball. Veterans over 55, led by Phillips, dominated the half mile. A Teague won the 130 yard Sheffield, with Halliday and Seigert placing. Trophy presentations followed by the Mayor and club officials.
