Minutes of Terowie Council Meeting 1953
The Terowie district council discussed financial statements for 1952/53, budget items, and relief measures. Nominations for Peterborough and Jamestown Hospitals were left in abeyance. Mr Tiver was to join Burra Burra Hospital Board. Fee reductions for Terowie and Whyte Yarcowie commonage were approved, and stock disc attachments were advised to cattle owners. Overhead light extensions and road repairs were debated, with permission given for council plant use on low ground and gravel supplies for memorials. The meeting reviewed bank overdraft limits, highways grants, and improvements at Mount Bryan Best road and Institute kerbing.
