Burra Town Council Meeting Discusses Warrants and Works
Burra Town Council met November 1 1954 in the Council Chamber with Mayor Mr T Baudstone and councillors Carpenter Hein rich White Nunkavell Lenmann present. Attendance invited for War Memorial ceremony November 11 and defense of 1964 80 terms. Several road and footpath maintenance items discussed including water tables Kingston Street East Street and the North entrance sign. Pest control and property maintenance including horehound removal and litter cleanup were ordered. Tender awards for confectionery stall licenses were debated with Burra and Traders winning a term. Council moved to adopt the public works report and set various signposting and safety measures around town.
