Canberra seeks National Methodist Church in Federal Capital
Canberra plans a National Methodist Church as a memorial to fallen soldiers and pioneers. The project aims to fund a church and community centre with daily services, opposite the future Federal Parliament House, with foundations laid in May 1953 and key support from Rev. Walter Whitbread and local Methodists.
