On a Saturday afternoon the Burra Rifle Club welcomed the Orton Club from Riverton. Capt. Pearce led 4 mornings of range work, lunch overseen by local ladies, and 200 and 600 yard shooting produced tight scores. Burra won by 26 points as dusk fell and speeches were skipped.
