Opening Day Set For Hooringa Tennis Courts Season
On Saturday the association opened at Hooringa Methodist Tennis Courts with Rev Hobbs declaring the season open. The High School beat Kooringa Methodists by a wide margin. St Marys beat The Royals in a close game. Afternoon tea aided club funds as few spectators attended, with next week’s matches due at High School Courts.

Burra Red Cross Assembly Meets in CWA Room
The Burra Red Cross held a meeting in the CWA Room on Tuesday May 13 with Mrs SM Sandland presiding. An apology was received from Mrs A Davey. The resignation of Treasurer Mrs G H Tiver was noted. the secretary will cover duties until the July annual meeting. The group voted to donate E10 to the Food for Britain Appeal and announced a Bug Afternoon on Tuesday June 10 with trading table and tea.
