Well Known Geologists Visit Burra
Mr Dickenson director of Mines for South Australia with Dr Gustafson and Mr Benedict, two American geologists, visited Burra to inspect old Burra Mine records. They were welcomed by the mayor and shown Princess Royal workings, noting past boring operations in 1907 with sparse details and an unseen copper potential. They left unimpressed, remarking on limited excitement and future prospects while old timers still claim copper remains.
