Burra CWA Branch Annual Report Highlights Activities
The Burra CWA Branch reports 15 financial members this year with an average of 23 at eight general meetings. Ten members transferred out, two joined. New members Mrs Cox from Kapunda and Mrs Pitman from Waikerie welcomed. International Day in Burra Town Hall drew attendees from Jamestown, Spalding, Manoora, Mount Bryan, Black Springs, Robertstown, Hanson, Waterloo and Avourn Branches with speaker Mrs John Riggs on Scotland. The 20th anniversary saw Mrs Jettner cut the birthday cake. Social events included a March Social Afternoon at the RSL Rooms with best bowls of mixed flowers and handicrafts on display. Committees noted, including Hospital Committee, Handicrafts, and a planned fete to raise funds. Minnie Rogers signed as President.
