Burra Red Cross Annual Report and Meeting Notes

Wednesday July 15 saw Mrs. Hawker preside at the Detachment meeting with apologies from several members. The president read the annual report detailing membership about 52, funds raised, wartime relief work, garment production, parcels sent to Adelaide, and emergency support efforts. A second report covered finances and governance. the annual meeting followed with elections and thanks to volunteers and organizers.

Red Cross praise and thanks from the Transport Detachment

A Passage celebrates a year of Red Cross service with world recognition and gratitude. Notable thanks go to Wis H White and WJ Jesse for steadfast support, Miss Davey Miss G Crewes and Miss Joan Fairchid for collecting for POW group, and Drs Briete and Steven for first aid guidance. Appreciation extends to the CWA Rest Room, District Council electric light, The Record for reports, and Koorings Methodist Trust for hall use.

War Time ARP Social Reflects Steady Resolve
