Burra and Peterborough Rifle Team Match Report
The Peterborough club traveled to Burra Range on Monday, February, for a rifle meet with Burra. Burra won by seven points after 500 and 600 yard stages with top scores from R. Barty and J. Lebwier, while Peterborough’s H. Sands and P. Pike posted strong totals. Evening adjourned to tea with captains exchanging trophies for the day’s champion and best performers.

Me Charles Morgan Pioneer Baker of Burra Dies
Me Charles Morgan born February 8 1885 at Roovings, son of Henry and Ann Morgan, pioneer of Burra. He worked in Wickery bakery, later ran Ulimann’s and Kingston Street bakery, married December 1903 to Jane Wilton, survived by wife, two sons Edward and George, daughter Elizabeth, two granddaughters Beth and Jelen, health declined after a serious illness eight years prior.
