South Australia Wheat Crop Championship Recap 1953–54
The 1953 season produced near record yields with many crops from 35 to 45 bushels per acre and some above 50 in wetter districts. Seed time was delayed by late opening rains, while September's dry spell caused concern. The District Wheat Crop Contests and State Championships highlighted methods of top growers, with Ceduna judging in November and Bordertown in January 1954.
