At a recent meeting the Inspector reported sending a letter to the Burra Hospital Board of Management about drainage issues and possible solutions. Dr Woollacott urged another ladies' convenience and tenders for scavenging were discussed with monthly collection and Saturday street sweeping proposed. The Town Clerk and Public Works Chairman were tasked with drawing up specifications.

Royals Beat Kooringa Methodists In One Football Match
Only one match was played at the High School courts on Saturday afternoon as St Marys forfeited to the High School team. The Royals defeated the Kooringa Methodists 20 goals to 12 with best players named for both sides. Burra Golf Association Stroke Competition and Club Highlights
Nine hole stroke event last Saturday saw top scores by Mrs J Wiseman 44 and Mrs R Jeffery 34. In the Club Championship semi final Miss M V Pearce beat Mrs M Miels 3 and 2. A handicap stroke round and Eclectic first round are planned. Also a Burra North vs Burra return match at Kooringa Methodist Hall ended Burra North 5 sets Burra 2 with Burra Club ladies serving supper.
