A wartime fundraiser urges public support for the Seventh War Loan with promises of a 5 percent yield and gilt edged security. Bonds cost ten pounds with easy instalments and can be repaid in September 1923. Banks may advance up to 90 percent, with the loan negotiable at market value before maturity.
September gardening advises sow hardy seeds this month and plant main crops like potatoes and peas while preparing tomato and capsicum beds. It notes pest control for August insects and lists flowers to transplant and sow. Also mentions Handy Food Co. luncheon meats and Bunbury merchants selling Dunlop covers and tubes at Perth prices.
