Brunswick Local Board of Health meets in Agricultural Hall

The Brunswick Local Board of Health met at 8 p.m. on April 27 in the Agricultural Hall. Attending were A. F. Clifton chair, FA Hawkins, J. B. Reading, and Rev. A. Wy. Minutes from March 18 approved. Correspondence from the Central Board of Health notes the appointment of J. A. Dugden as secretary and inspector, replacing G. Heppingstone, with Gov. Gazette notification sent. An appeal adjournment to May 25 at 2 p.m. was agreed. The secretary was asked to contact Dr. Joel to clarify whether he acts for Dr. Flynn or as medical officer. The secretary was also instructed to request the medical officer to forward his monthly report. The inspector is to inspect all boarding houses, hotels, butchers, and state schools in the district and report next meeting. Accounts totaling £10 approved for payment.
