Fodder Potential of Trifolium Subterraneum in Australia

In this Farm Notes column Mew Toward of Blackistin, South Australia, extols Trifolium subterraneum as a superior self-sowing clover that thrives on poor soils, requiring little care and yielding high cattle feed. He cites twelve years experience, noting rapid growth after recent rains, substantial year-to-year forage, and advantages over lucerne and other fodders. He predicts wide adoption across Victoria, South Australia, and New Zealand.
