Ministerial visit at Nannup and timber talks

The West Australian party led by Premier Me Daglish meets locals in Nannup on Saturday with Ministers Drew and Frank Wilson. Deputations press for Jarrahwood forfeiture, Jarrahwood line reopening, bridge works, library grant, and show grounds improvements while officials inspect timber country and plan steps back in Perth.

Premier visit highlights Jarrahwood area gains and promises

The ministerial party praised local settlers at a hall gathering with toasts to the Ministry and Our Member. Premier pledged £100 for a Sheep yard gully bridge, considered a Blackwood river bridge report, and a railway expansion to Nannup with plans to inspect Tanjunerup and Dudlandlup areas.

Bunbury Cycle Club Plans Twin Handicap Races

The Bunbury Cycle Club held a regular meeting at Toronto House with Mr Kraghier chairing. Officers approved two accounts and announced a 10 mile handicap road race for boys under 17 at 2 pm starting and finishing at the Federal Hotel, with entry 1s 6d and a 1s acceptance fee. A 25 mile handicap for club members was set for 3 pm on the 5th July from the Federal Hotel, with prizes including a gold medal and tyres.
