Greenbushes Leaseholders Association Holds Fortnightly Meeting
The Greenbushes Leaseholders and Prospectors Association met at Road Board Hall on Thursday the 30th with about a dozen members present. Correspondence discussed included Fremantle Smelting Co’s tin ore purchase, W A Bank Greenbushes proposing a conference and cooperative society, and the secretary for mines on lease amalgamation. A sub committee reviewed slurry disposal with Regulation 200. action to be held until a definite charge is laid. A committee was proposed to ensure compliance with lease provisions, and clerks’ eight hour day and body claims registration were noted. The secretary gave notice of a motion at the June meeting to reduce fees to 3d per week.
