London reports on Admiral Von Tirpitz’s statement that Germany would be content with relative strength of 16 to 10 against Britain. London reports the Royal Navy League presses for maintaining a two power standard and argues Britain must address threats beyond Germany urging a one power standard in the Mediterranean. The call reflects concern over naval strength and regional balance of power.
A disastrous tie in the arsenal quarter of Constantinople on February 9 left about 900 hoses demolished. Foreign blue jackets aided in subduing and confining the blaze and the famous conflagration.

A Petersburg report claimed a completed conspiracy to murder Prince Hohenlohe and seize a letter from the Austrian Emperor. Police raids led to arrests, but officials now say the plot reports were entirely unfounded and no attack was contemplated.
In the Hue Dauphine on January 30 bank manager Caby was attacked and robbed of £4300. Caby has identified the suspect Dacadonne as the assailant, though the man proclaims his innocence.
A casation arose in Melbourne as Henry Edward Hoyling and John Boargo were arrested by Detectives Coonan and Arthur for alleged breaches of the Immigration Restriction Act. Hoyling, 35, and Spargo, 50, were held on charges related to contravention but were later released on heavy bail.
The Standard Oil Trust magnate J D Rockefeller collapsed in the Witness Box yesterday during a committee probe of American trusts. Medics aided him and the examination was halted. His health had been frail and is now said to be serious but not in immediate danger.
The Imperial Trade Commission, tasked with studying empire trade and industry, arrives in Fremantle tomorrow. They will be entertained at Government House in Incheon.
Forty two trucks of chaff four of wheat and one of potatoes were catalogued at the railway this morning. In three instances the total reached £42 6d with wheat sold at prices from the bid to. Sandy and potatoes were passed in.
Three Bunbury youths Archibald Thompson Percy Blythe and Hastie set out on a wallaby shoot near Muddy Lake. An old double barrel breech loader unexpectedly discharged injuring Thompson in the leg. he was taken to the Government Hospital for treatment and will remain a few days.
A Bunbury Municipal Council special meeting reviewed Fremantle tramway details. Mr A Mitchell supplied cost figures for construction per mile, upkeep per mile annually, running costs per car mile, and tramway power plant equipment including a 400 kW turbo generator and two 160 kW generators.
At a Bunbury Water Board meeting last night a Bunbury Tennis Club request for free water in the first year of occupancy was discussed. Supporters argued the club has spent much on the Gardens and benefits the town, while opponents cited domestic water needs and limited funds. A compromise to grant £5 was defeated with no final allowance approved.
London County Council discusses 262 750 tramway construction from Highbury Station to City road via Cannonbury New North road and East road. Proposals include tram routes from Cricklewood to Marble Arch and other connections. County considers power for electric trolley vehicles and routes from Wickham Bridge through Hackney, Ciss and road, Wall Street, to western Wall Street, plus Western Valley rail traction for Newport.
Sergeant Smith of the Royal Life Saving Society visited Bunbury to urge public acceptance of mixed bathing. He criticized the town for prohibiting women from the water while noting other beaches permit it. He cited Cottenham and other cities where women swim with men, and urged consistent policy and decorum among all beach users.
