Regular gatherings of the Bridgetown Toe Hare group occur every two weeks. A newly welcomed member joins the circle as the solid body makes progress and plans extend into forthcoming sessions.
Bridgetown Boy Scouts staged a community concert on September 15 with many supporters attending. Amateur entrants included Mary Walker singing Little Old Lady Doris Sutton reciting When Grandma Pays the Bill Jayre Luton Merideth singing Believe Me All Those Endearing Young Charms. Other performers were Dick Scott mandolin Heather Urquhart Heather Bells are Sound and more. The Annual General Meeting of the Bridgetown Lawn Tennis Club will be held in Lesser Hall on September 27 at 8 p.m. Secretary Holmes notes next concert on September 28 featuring juvenile participants.
Bridgetown residents hosted and visited during holidays with Perth and Bunbury links. Mise Fleeton of Perth holidayed in Bridgetown with parents. Agnes King of Bunbury spent the weekend with her brother in Bridgetown. numerous locals and visitors returned from or headed to Perth, Bunbury, Kellerberrin and Mt. Barker.
Mrs FH Pearce and family express gratitude for letters and tributes after a recent sorrow. They thank Rev Strugwell, Dr Williams Nurse Bulgin Bridgetown Hospital staff for kindness. Mr and Mrs A Jones thank donors and helpers for assistance in transferring per the doctor's instructions.
