Postwar Plan for Used Service Vehicles Disposal
The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries and Australian Automobile Chamber of Commerce propose postwar disposal of surplus service vehicles. Reconditioning to pegged-price standards and vendor-led merchandising aim to stop indiscriminate sales. Unfit vehicles would be destroyed at the location and records updated. Consolidated inspection sites in each state would aid the process.
