Bridgetown Red Cross Branch held its June meeting with small attendance as many members aided Hospital Appeal. A monthly dance was decided. Red Cross shop revenue for May totaled £0 3s 6d amid competition from the appeal. Donations listed include Mrs McKay and Yornup groups, with depot takings £9 3d 6d and total receipts to £22 15s.
The Manjimup Branch held its ordinary monthly meeting focusing on Ball preparations and funds. Members discussed disposing of 6 shillings 0 pence 5 farthings in tea money, with a motion to send 5 to the Chinese Red Cross and to contact the congo and Warren Hospital matron for ex service men needs. A Victory Day float was approved and the secretary tasked with details, with Mrs Bevan of Deanmill welcomed.
A May 16 visit to Pemberton found numerous buildings lacking Board approval. The Health Inspector and secretary noted additions and alterations, health-law deficiencies, and unhealthful living setups on State Saw Mills land. Officials planned warnings and orders to remedy breaches under the Health Act.

The Repertory Club resumes monthly socials now that the Hospital Appeal is concluded. Members who worked on the Ugly Man committee will have time to rehearse. The June social is set for the 24th with a drawn up program expected to please the public. Seating has been improved during the interval.
