Forest concerns and town meeting discuss timber reserves
The Bridge town sub branch of the RSL held a Monday meeting led by Jobe Smith with four attendees. A letter of appreciation was approved for J Kuhahdor and plans were noted for a Archdeacon Maley Perth visit on July 13. At Borup Brook the HSSL branch met Friday July 1 with officers including E Miller and J Harrie. They observed a two minute silence for Patton Comrades and discussed Arbor Day, forest management, and timber reserves to prevent erosion and preserve land for future use. The group urged planting and careful forestry administration while noting a need for unemployed relief and war-related funding considerations.
