Scouts Return from Albany Camp After Enjoyable Holiday
Twenty six suntanned scouts completed an 18 day camp at Albany returning late due to two truck blowouts. Weather was mostly fine with two wet days and no illnesses. They visited Porongorups Nannarup and Frenchmans Bay, swam, and staged a community concert. Albany civic party praised the camp’s cleanliness as Bridgetown and Mt Lawley scouts toured the site.

Northam Scouts Tour South West and Upcoming Joiners Call
A party of 14 scouts from Northam Troop No 47 returned from Pemberton after a two week Western tour. They visited Augusta and inspected the Bridgetown Group. Next Friday night January 27 older scouts and those aged 11 seeking to join meet at 7 15 PM at the Scout Hall. A Tuesday night meeting discussed months ahead and patrol changes. Cubs meet February 4 at 2 PM and Group Committee meets February 21.

Kirup Rifle Club sent two teams to Balingup and won the cup by a narrow margin. Clarry Benson tied a top score of 95 for three ranges, securing the highest individual score and a cigarette case trophy.
