RSL members at the monthly meeting decided to hold an RSL reunion in the Memorial Hall on Saturday night February 11. The secretary will circularise past and present members. this may be the first in many years and could lead to future gatherings.

Kirup Rifle Club held an all day shoot at 300 500 and 600 yds for a trophy spoon amid changing conditions. Nominations for the South West Derby meeting on January 28 circulated by Mr. C H Briggs for the Manjimup Trotting Club. Derby to be run on Bridgetown's Leaning Tree Hill track with a total stake of £370 across six events. Main event offers £200 for 3 year old colts and fillies. other races include the Les Woodhead Cup £40 and cup, plus three £30 handicaps and a £40 Stratton Mile.
Bridgetown opened with Harold Jones and Plastidis and posted 191 as Bashford Morgan Bashford and Prastidis contributed. Ramblers faltered early but Carpenter and Dodd rallied to reach the target with Carpenter dismissing Prastidis and J Archer. Dodd remained unbeaten as Ramblers chased and finished with 2 runs to spare.
