RSL Elects New President Fred Buck Declines Re election

Fred Buck, longtime secretary and president of the RSL sub branch, declines re election citing time constraints. He praises ties with diggers and appeals to younger members to serve the League. Owen defeats Evans for the presidency, with Buck offering congratulations. The new president is a veteran of two wars, previously with the 10th Light Horse.

South-West Co-op Council Holds Bridgetown Meeting

The South-West Co-operative Council met at Bridgetown discussing new parking shed at Boyup Brook enlargement of Bridge town sheds and a new shed at Manjimup operated by Bridgetown branch of Westralian Farmers. Delegates from eight towns elected a six month executive with H Howie of Collie chairing and Nisbett also of Collie as secretary.
