A fire at Basildon, one and a half miles from Bridgetown on the Perth Highway, destroyed 150 acres of feed at Mr. Sykes Willmott's property on Monday. Sparks from a rollway engine are alleged to have started the blaze and many men with knapsack sprays were needed to extinguish it.
