Bridgetown reports the death of W P Scott JP chairman of the Bridgetown Road Boards when his car skidded near Wakalup at 1:30 am. R G Lock chairman of the Manjimup Road Board injured. Scott, a long time district leader, held multiple public roles and farmed 2 500 acres with his brother. Funeral set for Bridgetown cemetery Saturday morning.

Funeral of Mrs Thomar Scott at Bridgetown Cemetery

The funeral of the late Mrs Thomar Scott of Winnigup was held in the Anglican portion of Bridgetown cemetery on Friday afternoon with Rev Elf Strugnell officiating. A large assembly attended. bearers included A Callin, C Williame Tahiston, He MS Riallac Po Bowing, J Muir K Walter, WET Doust, and others. The service also occurred at St Pauls Church. The deceased, born at Kingsning Hall Scotland, aged 77, had lived in Australia for 60 years. She leaves a widow, one daughter, and two sons.

Blasting Fatality Shocks Town Near Me Farm

A blasting accident on Tuesday afternoon killed Benjaman Charles Dyer on a near Me farm. He was clearing a stump when the blast occurred injuring his face right arm and leaving him fatally hurt. A fellow worker sent for a doctor as villagers aided Dyer before medical staff arrived. The tragedy drew public sympathy for his wife and five children.
