Rabbits Bought Again as South-West Buyers Reopen Trade

The Bridgetown Road Board heard that South-West rabbit buyers, W. Angliss and Co., have resumed purchases after transport limits paused activity. A new Donnybrook road vehicle is now in operation to buy rabbits along routes from Donnybrook to Bridgetown. Farmers are urged to gut rabbits properly during collection and outstanding rates are directed to be paid to solicitors.

Mitchell Earns Two Life Memberships in Bridgetown Groups

E L Mitchell of Melrose Bridgetown is awarded two life memberships for long service. He joins Bridge town Agricultural Society Inc after earlier life honor from the Bowlin Club. A farmer in his 70s, he has 46 years in Bridgetown district, 26 years as society councillor, 12 years as bowling club secretary, and oversees the exhibition hall.

Bridgetown Resident George Lynam Dies at 67

George Hubert Lynam collapsed while working in Mr H Moore's fruit packing wheel on Tuesday. A well known Bridgetown resident, he was 67 and had worked for Mr Moore for twenty years. He leaves a wife, four sons and a daughter.

Victorian Premier Visits Bridgetown Overnight

Mr T T Hollway leading a Victorian Premier party visited Bridgetown on Saturday and stayed at the Freemasons Hotel. Delegates included W J Jungwirth E Barber A Smithers Ross McDonald housing minister J Gibson and D Bray as the Western Australian representatives.
