An Australian airman tells BBC of Snow White, the only female pigeon in the Royal Australian Air Force in Britain. The white pigeon with brown patches served on Lancasters on about 100 missions including Hamburg Ruhr Milan and Berlin. Her crew has a daughter serving and many pigeons face casualties and wounds while delivering vital messages.

Sabotage Instructions Reported by Belgian Underground Press

Broadcast by the BBC European Service relayed translated instructions from Le Peuple urging saboteurs to disrupt industry. Commands include jamming machine tools with emery and sabotaging locomotives by oil leaks sandboxes and rail car miswiring to cause fires or breakdowns.

Break in cases in Goulburn court tied to Braidwood pair

In Goulburn, Robert Colemane and Terrence Foster faced charges of breaking and entering and receiving stolen goods. Evidence showed clothing household linen and a range of items seized from a bridge and later found in Sydney pawnshops. Both accused pleaded guilty. Foster lacked legal aid.
