A historical racing programme lists entry rules and prizes for horses. It names multiple horses and bets in pounds, including specific nominations and acceptance conditions, dates around mid June, and various bonuses for winners bred in Bowen and Shire regions. The text is fragmented but preserves names, amounts, and dates.
The program outlines multiple handicaps and prize funds for two divisions and several events. Notable entries include Nom, HL, Wi, Anoop, and a CLUB HANDICAP of £75, plus First and Second Division races with various prize mentions and weights. Acceptances and nominations close shortly after weight declarations.
Race clubs across several towns announce nomination requirements and handicaps for a two day meeting. Nominations with fees due by July 14 1925. First day weights to be posted around July 29 with second day weights at 11 am. Handicaps apply to divisions with horses entered and weights fixed by the club handicapper.
Bowen leaders and officials urge A J Jones to speed up rail trucks, hopper wagons, and jetty facilities for coal exports. They press for assembly yards, deeper channels, and adequate cranes to keep the two Bowen collieries productive and to sustain export trade.
