Queensland Sugar Output Seen At 170 000 Tons This Year
Last year Queensland produced 189 978 tons of sugar. A preliminary estimate by Mr Hasterby, superintendent of the Sager Expervioal Suaons, projects this year around 170 000 tons, about 20 000 tons less than 1919. Adverse cane growth due to climatic conditions affects southern districts, with Bundaberg and Childers likely to delay harvesting.
