Annual Meeting of Farmers Association at Suire Hall
The Annual Meeting of members was held in Suire Hall on a Saturday evening. Present were G. B. Keub chairman, C. Jones, B. Gilmore, T. Auuraws, NS Bark, W J A Anderson, J. Lough, C. J. Barker, J. Paul, and J. A. Milner. Minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. The chairman thanked members for their aid during the past year and urged attendance and support for the new chairman. The Farmers Association was described as necessary to coordinate society work and district efforts. Several speakers praised past achievements, urged increased membership, and proposed new officers. J. Long was unanimously chosen chairman, C. Jones vice president, and Barker another vice president. Considerable discussion followed on correspondence, railway matters, and local repairs, with resolutions to conduct certain matters through the secretary and to seek cooperation from farmers and Mr. Welsh.
