Bowen works debated at chambers meeting
The Chamber of Commerce held its usual monthly meeting on Thursday evening. Attendees discussed inviting Col Dyar and Mr Price for a Bowen works visit, thanked Mr P J Nally of the Sydney Queensland Tourist Bureau, and planned actions with the Bowen fruit and road improvement groups. They urged Railways to fix coal hopper issues and considered reserving land near Queens Beach for recreation, while seeking town regulations on motorcycle silencers.
