Legal Battle Extends Injunction Over Queensland Fruit Trade
In Supreme Court last Friday Justice Macnaughton granted an interim injunction against the Committee of Direction of Fruit Marketing to stop farm produce agents from receiving and selling for growers their bananas and from sending Queensland fruit out of the state. The case seeks to extend the injunction to all growers and licensed agents in Queensland and to full court review, with both sides urging swift resolution.
