In loving memory of our dear mother Sugia Hoodsell who departed this March 1931. A loving matron inserted by her family. We thank Dr Jefferies, the Matron and staff of Bombala District Hospital for care of our father who died there March 1. We also thank Messrs Leonard Goodman and W Brownlie and all who sent messages. The Mysn and family thank friends for wreaths and sympathy. Mrs R Goldberg and family. We also thank Dr Jgiferis and Bombala Hospital staff for care of our daughter Haggar.

The rainfall for the month totaled 110 points at the post office. A doubles tennis tournament on the local courts last Sunday was won by Miss B Griffin and J Stuart. The Football Club held its annual meeting and elected officers for the coming year. General Sir George and Lady Jeffreys, visiting Delegate, were guests of Mr and Mrs Jeffreys at Delegate Station and were hosted at a welcome and afternoon tea in the Sotind of Arts by the local B S and L League. A good turnout of returning soldiers attended, with T M Walcott presiding as President of the Delegate sub-branch. Members of the Junior Red Cross were also present.

Last Saturday Wyndham sent tennis players to Merimbula to boost the visit, the School of Arts ball drew decent crowds, and the institute expects about £15 in benefit. A fire near Ron Whitby’s last week burned 20 acres and damaged fencing as it spread through Underhill Brothers, Joseph Warburton, and part of Boland’s. Rabbit poison cart used at Rocky Hall with success. Mr. Fleming at Rocky Hall completed two 100-ton silos with green corn and may take pedigree stock to the Sydney Show. Oats carriage from the rail line to the season was 100 percent higher than the prior season due to factory supply.

Farewell gathering for Mrs Thorne by Country Womens Association
On March 23 a large GW A gathering met at the Rest Room to bid farewell to Mrs Thorne before her departure to Wollongong. The Bibbenlake School of Arts committee plans a working bee to improve the Bibbenlake Race Course now under their care. The Ribbenlake Agricultural Bureau held its monthly meeting on the 28th, debating pasture top dressing with Mr F Smith leading the affirmative and Mr F Allen opposing, aided by Mr O Jennings and Mr N Wright. The show of hands supported Smith. The Ribbenlake Parents and Citizens Association annual meeting elected officers led by President Mr Jennings with Vice Presidents Mrs Lowe and A S Irving, Treasurer Mr W Thomas, Secretary Mr D Wilson, and Auditor Mr Lowe.
