Nominations for Bombala Municipal Council filled eight of nine aldermanic seats with A J Nevis N F Smith B Dilcott J Plowright J Morgan E Kimber W Moore and Heancaster named. Ex aldermen Goldberg and Jonas did not seek re election leaving one vacancy.

Manaro District officers elected and... district conference held

The Manaro District elected officers led by District Grand Master W Beileiter and Deputy I Maflane with C O'Brien as District Secretary and trustees J Turnbull and A J Simmons. The Grand Master installed them with Langley of Sydney assisting. A levy was fixed and the next conference set for Bombala in February. The meeting included questions on lodge workings and thanks to visiting delegates.

G U D Oddfellows Move To Form Manaro District At Cooma

Delegates from Cooma Bombala Cathcart Bibbenlake Jerangle Tindalyne Berraidala Adaminaby and Sydney representatives attended a Saturday meeting at Mrs Mowbray's and Mrs McManus premises to form a Grand United Order district. The conference opened at 11 am with Grand Master Tones presiding and Grand Secretary Sands outlining goals and recruitment benefits. The session ended with a unanimous decision to pursue district formation.
