Rev Father Roche returned from Canberra after a brief inspection of the Capital. The district notes report flood delays on the Melbourne to Canberra line and a flood-related railway incident. The Boreas clip from Bombala sold well at Sydney wool auction. The Argyle Dairy Company at Goulburn shuts due to cream shortages as dairymen switch to other work. The Cooma Annual Show is scheduled with dog trials and motor car events. A film screening at Olympia praises 7th Heaven as a landmark work. Mr H Meyers, a district worker on the railway, drowned during flood repairs near Marrina. The Bombala P P Board meets with discussions on wire netting rates and stock inspection. The board notes improving pasture and fodder prospects after recent rains and comments on liver fluke control with carbon tetrachloride.
