The twelfth annual general meeting of G.U.D.D.F. Bega District at Bega on February 4 discussed officers elections and district funds rising from £2,908 16s 3d to £3,685 3s 6d with a £776 7s 3d gain. As delegates attended, local lodge representations were listed and next meeting slated for February 1915. A separate storm report from Gheringlap Vic. noted a schoolgirl killed and another injured by lightning.

Hamilton Reed of Goongerah writes proposing a new main road route from the border to Orbost via Bendoe and Bonang Divide. He argues a 1 in 19 grade is achievable with funding, noting engineers McCormick and the Shire Engineer saw no difficulties. He says current Little Bill De grade is too steep and the route would shorten the distance.
