A large gathering at Kennedy's Hall on Wednesday December 13th marked Bombala Public School’s annual breakup. Rev S Broadfoot chaired praising Mr Cayzer and staff for a successful year. Prizes were presented by O R Walkom of the P and Association. The program featured songs recitations and performances by classes with Santa Claus unveiling the Christmas Tree and toy distribution to junior pupils.

report from Traralgon district describes vast caterpillar swarms damaging crops and invading a home pram. A farmer released poultry to feed on the pests and mitigate the damage while residents battle ongoing infestations across fields and hay stacks.

A Perth report states Aubrey Hall and two natives Balb and Teddy Edwards were poisoned after drinking from a petrol tin found beside a dry track. They were traveling from Quobba Station with 1000 sheep when they mistook the tin for water. Edwards died. the others fell ill as dogs and horses also died. The substance in the tin is unknown.
