Mine off Eden submarine mine explosion near Eden Australia
A submarine mine was found about 50 miles off Eden and was blown up by a naval officer from a towed vessel near South Head at 8 30 am. The blast shattered doors and windows and sent water high into the air. Witnesses say two mines were seen 16 miles southeast of Green Cape but only one reached Eden.
