Mrs Betty Oliver wife of Joseph Oliver of St Leonards Woodstock Avenue Rooty Hill formerly of Bombala collapsed and died waiting for a tram Easter Sunday morning on her way to church. She was 77 or 78 years old and survived by her husband two sons Ronald and Tim and four daughters Stella Linda Agnes Enid. Funeral held Tuesday with service at the house by Rev R W Wannon and Rev J O McLelland and at the grave by Elders of the Latter Day Saints Church.
At the Jas committee meeting it was decided to continue the last three monthly dances for three more months. The first will be held this Saturday with a planned supper Crested. Mr. B S Fitzsimons from the Department of Agriculture visited, classed flocks, and Merino Ewe Competition entries were noted. A girls hockey club has formed and challenged the men.
