South West Football Carnival Sets Eight Teams at Harvey
The 1952 South West Football Carnival will feature eight associations at Harvey with teams Harvey Augusta-Margaret River Busselton Bunbury Murray Collie Warren and Nelson. Donnybrook was eliminated by Augusta-Margaret River in a preliminary match at Harvey last Sunday. Nelson selects 28 players for the carnival led by coach Norm Dawson and Jim Glennie with R Hilder sidelined by injury.

Housewife Carmel Watson Dies After Fall at Bridgetown
The tragic death occurred on Monday of Mrs. Carmel Watson wife of Mr. Jack Watson of Bridgetown after a fall at her home. She was 39 and left a husband and six children. Funeral at Bridgetown Thursday followed Requiem Mass at St. Bridget's Church celebrated by Rev. Pather Fitzgerald.

Bridgetown Police Court fines for license failures and cattle stray
In Bridgetown Police Court on September 17 Perlini Carrado of Yornup was fined £2 with costs for riding a motor cycle without a valid licence and disqualified from driving six months. Frederick Maslin was fined £2 with costs £2/6 for permitting cattle to stray on public roads after warning. Melvin Kenneth de Landgrafft of Manjimup was fined £2 with costs £2/6 for riding a motorcycle with an expired licence plate found August 4. The case was before Mr L W Stotter BM.
