Mr W E Inglis of Boyup Brook, born in the district, holds long service on the Upper Blackwood Road Board and serves as vice chairman for the third time. A WWI veteran awarded the Military Medal, he organized finance for the Upper Blackwood Flax Mill and helped raise £350 for the local hospital. He farms fat lambs and maintains a Southdown stud.

At the annual Warriors Football Club meeting last Tuesday night a donation of 20 pounds from Pat Ron and Mr. Dave Jack was announced. Officers for the coming season were elected with D. Jack and G. Fenton as patrons, E. A. Duncan as president, R. Mellowes as vice president, B. S. Brook as secretary, Ross MacDonald as treasurer, and T. Rashford as auditor. Committee members include D. Mulcahy K.
