The first blaze swept through thicket toward the Girl Guides hall and Wood’s residence, narrowly missing the home. Railways Minister Details Northcliffe Bus Service Start
The Minister for Railways, Mr A H Seward, informs Mr E K Hoar that the Pemberton Northcliffe road passenger service depends on freeing buses. The schedule aims to begin beyond Bridgetown to Northcliffe in April and Bunbury to Bridgetown in June with fares at 2d per mile. Buses will link Bunbury with the Australind trains and Boyup Brook will have a separate Bunbury service.
