Acute problem over lack of accommodation for packers
Mr. C J E Sparks manager of the Westralian Farmers Co-Op says four packers are available but require lodging. With two ships due in the next fortnight to lift 150 000 bushels for the United Kingdom the shortage of accommodation threatens the district. A Flintoff Bridgetown Fruitgrowers Association president says the situation is serious and appeals for local offers of accommodation to aid growers.
