Tennis champions dominate Bridgetown club titles this season
Mrs. Walker defeated Miss Waddington in the women’s club championship final at Bridgetown and won the ladies handicap singles. She also captured the women’s doubles with Miss Waddington as partner. Walker has clinched the champion singles three times and the handicap doubles five times across 1947 48 49 and this year. Waddington, runner up with H Flintor in mixed doubles this year, won last year’s championship from Mrs Walker and also beat her in the handicap singles. she was runner up in doubles the prior year and won the handicap singles then.
