A sheet of water swept down the Will behind the Terminus hotel flooding two rooms. Wires were damaged by wind and rain causing power interruptions. The Blackwood River rose nine feet at the bridge and floods affected roads, with trees fallen and crops spared in most orchards. A motor mishap occurred on the Hexter road as heavy rain hit Saturday evening. Rainfall reports show 24 hours of heavy precipitation and a monthly total reaching high points.
